Windmill Hill Windmill Trust
Challenge
The Windmill Hill Windmill Trust are a registered charity dedicated to the restoration, preservation and protection of the Windmill at Windmill Hill, East Sussex. The trust already had a home grown website that had served them well but wanted to take things to the next level with a fresh design, the ability to easily add and edit content and to integrate in a web cam and weather station to enhance the user experience.
Approach
Our design team worked to build clean and fresh new design for the website and built the site using the WordPress CMS.
We supplied and setup a webcam that the Windmill team mounted in a suitable location giving a live feed of pictures which we then integrated into the website. In parallel to this, weather information is streamed live from a weather station mounted on the roof of the adjacent Old Bakery.
The site was then hosted on our dedicated hosting platform.
Results
The use of WordPress allowed all of the Trusts team to easily update the website greatly simplifying updating and managing the website.
