Going Green

The Mission

We want to make the continuous improvement of our businesses environmental credentials central to our business. Whilst its not easy in business to be green, we firmly believe it should be central to what we do and this project aims to formalise our efforts to be good citizens.

The Plan

Our intentions are to implement a program of continuous improvements making a series of small but significant steps and constantly reviewing what we are doing to find ways of further improving.

In our first phase of works we are going to try to achieve the following:

• Separate and recycle all of our waste. Analyse and understand the waste we are producing and work on ways to reduce in volume
• Reduce our energy usage whilst the office is unoccupied by turning off unused equipment and shutting our office blinds to retain heat
• Find ways of measuring our energy useage so we can better understand where we are using energy, how we can reduce it and measure any improvements we have achieved.
• Investigate how to further improve the use of our web hosting cloud to reduce its power useage.
